Newt Social Rides
We organise club social rides throughout the year and members of all abilities are welcome to participate. Social rides are not coached sessions. Participants are responsible for their own safety and choose to ride entirely at their own risk.
There are a few requirements when attending a social ride:
- Participants must have their own Public Liability Insurance (available with Welsh Triathlon membership)
- All bikes must be roadworthy and suitable for the terrain and distance of the planned route
- Participants should be self-sufficient and carry a bike pump, repair kit and at least one spare inner tube
Covid-19
Covid-19: Participants must comply with the current government guidance for the public on meeting outdoors, and social distancing must be maintained throughout. You should also consider the aerosol effect when cycling.
Bike and transition skills
Bike and transition
skills sessions can be organised (by coaches) for members if there is enough
interest.
These sessions can offer great training practice for all abilities. Regardless
of your experience or confidence, we can all improve our bike skills to help us
remain safe on the road. Plus, frequent transition practice helps deliver
quicker and more efficient transitions on race day.
