Welcome to Newport and East Wales Triathlon (NEWT) Club!

NEWT has a membership of approximately 120 and are a friendly triathlon club serving the Newport and South East Wales area.The club has members of all abilities ranging from novices just starting in triathlon/duathlon, those who are merely training to improve fitness to Welsh champions competing at national and international level and Ironman athletes. 

Run completely by volunteers we welcome anybody who wishes to take part in triathlon or use the various disciplines of triathlon for training. At present we are solely for adult athletes, over 17 years of age. NEWT has regular training sessions with coached sessions delivered by fully qualified British Triathlon coaches which are designed to accommodate any level of athlete.
